SUNNYVALE

The City of Sunnyvale has a long history of arts programs supported through its Parks and Recreation Department, including a partnership with California Theatre Center, which specialized in theatre for young people. After theatre consultants from around the U.S. were interviewed, JVSA was selected to lead an elaborate program study to determine a project plan for a significant arts center on a downtown site which would serve CTC and also function as a venue for touring professional productions. Through many meetings and workshops with city staff, City Council, and the public, John developed a detailed architectural program for this unique project, and then followed this with architectural concept sudies.
