THE BUSH FOUNDATION

The Archibald Bush Foundation of St. Paul, MN is a major source of grants for arts, education, and community projects throughout the Upper Midwest. John von Szeliski works as design advisor to the Foundation for critique on proposed architectural and operating approaches to significant arts projects. Representative projects have included the expansion/modernization of the Children's Theatre Company, and the adaption of the historic Shubert Theatre in Minneapolis as a unique center for the regional and national professional dance companies. Similar to these types of projects, John has done major peer reviews, such as a detailed analysis of design and construction plans for the University of Notre Dame's new DeBartolo Arts Center.
